1. Khan Academy
Available on both iOS and Android, Khan Academy is a free app with over 100 million users. Khan Academy has won numerous awards among which they received Shorty Award for Best in Education. Khan Academy is one of the best sources to prepare for the SAT and ACT exams as they provide students with a variety of practice tests, full explanations (both written and visual ) about different concepts, subject-based questions, to list a few. Khan Academy can help you with all subjects, including English and Maths, especially along with other important subjects that make up the SAT and ACT exams. Even if a student is not preparing for tough exams, they can still use Khan Academy for everyday school lessons.
2. Daily Practice for the new SAT
This amazing app is available on both iOS and Android and is owned and made by the College Board itself, making it even more important and useful. The speciality of this app comes with the fact that it is very easy to use and access. Unlike other apps, this app gives you one new, tricky question every day, and as you answer it, you get valuable feedback about how to and where to improve. It is not uncommon for students to be engaged in their everyday life and school homework that they hardly get an opportunity to sit down and open and do a test, while this app helps you include SAT practice as a part of your daily routine in a more convenient way.
3. Magoosh ACT flashcards
As the name itself suggests, this app is available on both iOS and Android and is meant to help students prepare for the ACT test. The content in the App is directly created by the ACT experts to ensure that students have access to study the most commonly tested concepts. There are over 200+ useful flashcards and 80+ lessons for subjects like Math, English, and Science, and practice questions for each and every ACT exam section. What makes the app interesting and special is the fact that it uses the Spaced Repetition Technique, also known as SRT to help students focus on the concepts that they are struggling the most with. It is seen that this app has helped over a thousand students to excel in the ACT exam.

Time in the SAT and ACT exams is very limited and therefore, it becomes essential for students to save time wherever they can. 99% of the concepts in math involve addition, multiplication, division, and subtraction, and if these could be done mentally and faster, there could not be a better thing than that. Math Brain Booster Games is an app available on iOS which aims to develop the speed and ability of students to calculate faster and that too without using a calculator. Using this app you can set personal reminders, and learn tricks and hacks to carry out calculations faster than anyone else. Similar to the Vocab Genius App mentioned above this app doesn’t directly help you for the ACT and SAT, but indirectly helps you build upon your skills that you can be used to excel in these exams.
