Smart phones and tablets are among the greatest advances in technology. They are stylish and easy to use, making them popular among users of all ages. The best thing about these awesome devices is the many apps that are available for them.
It is often not feasible to have a team of mobile app developers working on site for your business. In addition, a shortage of manpower in small and medium sized companies along with special expertise required for mobile application development plays a major role in the hindrance of establishing a mobile app development center.
Finding skilled mobile app developers can be both demanding as well as time consuming. Therefore, a more practicable and economical solution is to outsource mobile app development to centers in other countries, such as India.
Outsourcing app development is the best choice for most small and medium businesses because these centers have people who are technically competent, vastly educated and willing to do the work at an affordable price. The development services are admirable and the service customization is unbeatable.
For your low-end projects, simply hiring an individual freelancer may be fine. However, for all other mobile app development projects, commissioning a reputable outsourcing company to do the work is the best route to take.
The Advantages of Choosing to Outsource
Outsourcing mobile app development seems to have become the choice for a number of businesses. Hundreds of freelance developers and established outsource companies are available, working in the niche area of software application. The advantages are great for these businesses when they outsource their app development projects to offshore centers. For example, project management is done for you, knowledgeable experts get the job done quickly and easily without additional staff on your payroll and you have the advantage of constant communication to ensure your projects stay on track.
Some software development companies are hirable on an hourly, daily, weekly, monthly basis or permanently. You do not have to deal with the headache of project management because outsourcing companies have their own project managers to do the work for you.
In addition, the best companies are available for communication over the phone, over the Internet or via video conference with 24/7 service available. Imagine having the work done for you as you sleep, or work on other more important business projects.
These developers have proficiency over application development. Working on various types of applications every day, provides them with vast knowledge, making it possible to cater to custom projects and suggest minor alterations to make your app even better.
Most small and medium businesses do not need to worry about paying dedicated developers within their company, which does not make sense economically. Instead, outsource your app development projects to development centers based on your specific needs.

WordPress is a DIY Platform: WordPress is the largest publishing platform in the world, viewed by millions of users each and every day. It was originally designed as a Do-It-Yourself (DIY) blogging tool, but has evolved into an integrated Content Management System (CMS) that can be customized to accentuate any type of business – large or small – in any industry – with any objective. From e-commerce solutions to corporate surveys to ad campaigns – if you can imagine it, someone else has probably already created a free plug-in that you can use. WordPress customization benefits your business by giving you the control to broadcast communications and organize content with ease.
WordPress is Customizable. Plug-ins are mini-software applications that developers create to customize the functionality of a pre-existing application or to add to its features. WordPress is an open-source (“for the people, by the people”) software project. Powered by PHP and MySQL, it is known for its “scalability,” which essentially means that anyone, regardless of their development/ coding expertise, can quickly learn to use its primary features and easily sustain the creation and management of their own content. Basic installations can be quite simple and take less than five minutes! It’s perfectly fine to customize new features as you go, however, like with most things, it’s often much easier to have someone show you the ropes, rather than wandering around aimlessly trying to find them.
WordPress is a DIY Solution. WordPress experts, like TechAhead are pros at installing and customizing WordPress to meet any type of business need. You can still take a pro-active role by choosing a template and branding the site with your corporate identity, but we can help you iron out all the details. There are over 1400 free WordPress themes currently available. And if none of those are ideal, we’ll create one for you! We are seasoned WordPress technicians with years of experience in customizing code, finding and adding the right plug-ins and accentuating WordPress sites with the newest advanced features. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of people working on new plug-ins and features daily; we love to stay on top of the latest trends and will be happy to do the dirty work so you don’t have to. But once the site is refined, we will give you the reigns; you’ll be able to easily write, edit and manage content, user feedback, your shopping cart, or whatever type of solutions you choose to incorporate. With a little tutoring, you can also re-arrange widgets, switch between themes, manage your site’s traffic, SEO and ad campaigns.
WordPress is Free. The best thing about WordPress is that it’s perfectly free to maintain. We can even recommend free hosting providers, although paid providers are often more reliable. But there are no licensing fees and once your site has been created and refined specifically for you, it will be fun to manage yourself! You can update the content, create new links to your favorite sites, tag and post articles and newsletters all from a simple, easy-to-use dashboard.
TechAhead is an offshore web applications development and IT solutions provider, with its headquarters in India. We provide offshore WordPress development, WordPress customization and WordPress theme creation.

Cloud Staffing is synonymous with “flexibility” and “scalability” – but what exactly is it? At its most basic, it’s a method of downsizing the administrative processes that deal with human resources by combining outsourcing practices with technological development and collaboration tools. Every heard of Skype? It’s a prime example of a collaboration tool designed for cloud staffing methodologies that allows business owners to manage and communicate with its consultants and employees from anywhere around the globe.
IT Trends. Technology, mass media and especially the web are constantly evolving, and any business who wants to remain viable and profitable, must evolve right along with it. It’s important to stay up-to-date on the latest trends in IT and we can help you do it.
Outsourcing vs. Cloud Staffing. During the past few decades, outsourcing became somewhat of a standard for businesses who wanted to cut costs by off-shoring workers (not just cost of wages, but overhead costs as well). Since the recession of 2008, there are more small business ventures and entrepreneurs than ever before, each of whom is looking for talented and affordable employees. Conventional outsourcing differs from Cloud Staffing because employers who cloud source can still directly manage and supervise their staff, instead of handing the entire project over to a third party. Collaboration tools like Skype, GoogleWave and Dropbox and CMS applications like WordPress make this possible for any type of business owner in any industry. Cloud staffing has equalized the playing field, allowing small business owners to cut costs without cutting quality in the same way that only the wealthiest multi-national corporations were traditionally able to do.
Benefits of Cloud Staffing. In addition to increasing profit, cloud staffing services are environmentally friendly and help reduce the global footprint. All business can be conducted virtually and remotely, without loss of time, data, or energy. If your staff is located in various time-zones, they can literally be working around the clock, so there is no lag in process development or customer service.
Cloud Staffing India. The stigma that was once attached to outsourcing has since changed. No longer are corporations simply trying to cut wages. Consultants and service providers are standardizing wages based on a certain quality of work – whether they reside in India, Russia or San Francisco – the desire for efficient service, excellent communication skills and a desire to work in a variety of time zones, allows any type of business owner the freedom to select staff based upon his or her particular needs – and schedule. Even Google has recently doubled its staff in India. It now employs over 300 engineers in Bangalore and Hyderabad (with a total of about 2000 employees in India) who work on cloud computing. Other companies who enjoy the benefits of cloud computing are Starbucks, Dell and Cisco.

For any business, networking is a key to success. Events and conventions are a great place to network for business, find a new contractor, supplier, or resource, or get advice from a mentor. Business cards are often exchanged and then subsequently forgotten about. Sometimes, the events are so large and busy that a meeting a relevant person may be missed. Mobile apps have come of age and for the first time in India, by downloading an app on their iPhones or android devices participants at an event will be able not just to swap business cards by bringing their mobiles into contact with the person they meet, but they will also be able to view other participants in their category, search for mentors, schedule meetings and view meeting requests from other participants.
Perhaps it is only apt that such an innovative product is being released at TiEcon Delhi 2011, a premier Asian event for entrepreneurs being organized by The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) from September 30th to October 1st, 2011 at New Delhi. TiE Connect, which is a mobile app developed specifically for this event by TechAhead, the Mobile Application Partner for the event, will help entrepreneurs exchange contact information and network with each other easily. The application for android is available for download at https://market.android.com/search?q=Tiecon+Meet&so=1&c=apps
Once the application is downloaded on to the mobile phone, the user can enter information such as the name, contact number, email address and company, and save it. This information goes into the
iCard, which can then be transferred to a contact by just holding the mobile in your hand and bringing it into contact with the other person’s mobile. With this process, there is no danger of business cards being misplaced as it is stored on the mobile phone and can be accessed at any time using the app.
TiE Connect also has a range of other useful features. For instance, an entrepreneur can use the application to search and select other participants by category (mentor, investor, partner, service provider, and prospective team member), industry (BPO, clean technology, education, engineering, HR recruitment and many others) or person name. Similarly, there is a Request for Meeting feature that allows the user to select a person by industry, category or name, and send a meeting request by inputting the date and time. Once a person gets a meeting request on his mobile phone, he has the option of accepting or ignoring the request. If a meeting request is accepted, it shows up on the list of scheduled meetings to help the user manage his time better and to prevent overlap of meetings. Until a request is accepted or ignored, it shows up on the Pending Requests list.
Using TiE Connect, entrepreneurs who are attending the two day mega event, TiEcon 2011 at New Delhi will be able to network more efficiently with other participants as it allows them to search the app database to find the people they want to meet and send meeting requests without having to meet the person face to face and be formally introduced. This will help them plan their schedule better so that they can also benefit from the insightful sessions that are part of the agenda of the event. Some of the most accomplished thinkers & practitioners are taking part in TiEcon, which is aimed at recognizing the importance of entrepreneurship in India as it has become a mainstream activity that has had a powerful impact on society.
For TechAhead, the development of this application has been a matter of pride. In the words of Vikas Kaushik, CEO, “The release of TiE Connect is a moment of glory for all of us at TechAhead and a vindication of the execution capability of our team. This is the first time that such an app is being used at an event in India, and as a pioneer in the field of outsourced application development, we feel privileged to have received the opportunity to showcase our innovative app at a platform where fellow entrepreneurs can appreciate it.”
